About Wolf Creek:

We are a five piece band from East TN. Our music is an eclectic blend of Bluegrass, Classic Country, Blues and Rock-n-Roll.

Wolf Creek was formed with the sole purpose of exposing audiences to what we call "Powergrass With A Twang". . . which is the product of Bluegrass roots which are fused with the punch and impact of a tight and powerful rhythm section(ala electric bass & drums). The "twang" is provided via the Telecaster guitar and a love for the Classic Country sounds of Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard & Buck Owens. Combining these elements with the many other styles each of the players bring to the group, Wolf Creek is creating a sound which is unique and fresh yet classic and timeless.

The core influence of this band is Bluegrass, with a good mixture of Classic Country & Americana.

Among the elements that make up our sound is the music of Flatt & Scruggs, The Country Gentlemen, Seldom Scene, Doc Watson, Jimmy Martin, The Stanley Brothers, Tony Rice, Carl Jackson, & Ricky Skaggs.

Rounding out our sound and creating it's own character are the Classic Country & Alt-Country influences of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, John Conlee, Waylon Jennings. . . Asleep At The Wheel, Radney Foster, Diamond Rio, Marty Stuart, Billy Joe Shaver, Steve Earle, Chris Knight, Buddy Miller, The Eagles, Poco, America, Pure Prairie League & The Allman Brothers Band!
